Women on the Move Awards

WE CELEBRATED EXCEPTIONAL WOMEN ON APRIL 12!

This prestigious event was created by the YWCA in 1985 as an opportunity to celebrate extraordinary women who are making significant contributions to their community. The Women on the Move award recipients have distinguished themselves not only through their chosen fields but also through their community leadership. To date, Women on the Move has honored more than 1,000 exceptional women.

Guest enjoyed fabulous heavy hors d’oeuvres, desserts and coffee, they bid on the great silent auction items, all while networking with the community's Who's Who! This is a benefit for the YWCA Middle Rio Grande.

	Our Mistress of Ceremonies was CATHRYN MCGILL, award-winning singer/songwriter!
	Guests enjoyed an inspiring keynote address by KAY KELLEY, the Regional Executive Director for the YWCA Pacific Region, which serves Associations in California, Texas, New Mexico, Hawaii and Arizona.
	The Honorable PETRA JIMENEZ MAES, New Mexico Supreme Chief Court Justice was presented with the with the “La Estrella” Award in honor of her historic and distinguished legal career and her leadership role in New Mexico’s history.
	ELAINE SOLIMON was also be honored with the “Woman to be Reckoned With” award. Her impressive leadership at ARCA until she recently retired embodied the spirit of that organization, and she is an inspiration to all!
